WE ARE MOVING! And it is really exciting!

We were in a neighborhood of houses, probably like the one you live in.

We’ve decided that we can reach people better by being where people congregate outside their homes, especially in Momence – downtown.

Our new address, starting Sunday November 24 will be 106 N. Dixie Highway (right across from Pierson’s Bakery). We’ll have our Sunday morning service at 11am and then our Hanging of the Greens service at 5:30pm. That’s the one where we decorate for Christmas.

Until then, you can catch us at our current space (226 W 5th) on Sundays. We are hosting a Night of Prayer on November 16 at our new space – 6pm – 6am. Stop by anytime that night, we’d love to pray with and for you.

Exciting days are ahead for Momence First Church of the Nazarene. Come and see.

Sunday Worship – 11:00am

Momence First is not just our name.

It is our desire to serve our local community – Momence.

Jesus told his disciples to start where they were in serving him: Acts 1:8b says “…And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (emphasis added)

Jesus told the disciples to stay put in Jerusalem and tell people about him and that’s what we are doing at Momence First.

We don’t expect there to ever be a Momence 2nd Church of the Nazarene (although it would be really cool if we had to plant one!) but we do expect that our love for Jesus will flow out into the streets of Momence first and from there explode all over Kankakee County, the States of Illinois and Indiana and around the world.

Before any of that can happen, we have to be about Momence. So our name, Momence First, reflects our desire to serve and love Jesus and share him with all our neighbors.
